Hands Down The Best Band In The Bay Area
I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. From the first song everyone was up on the dance floor dancing. Cliff and the boys turned up early and were ready to go right on time. They were respectful of our event and asked how we would like the night to flow. Willard is a wonderful front man with a great voice. The set list was perfect for our crowd. I looked around and saw my 76 year old neighbor dancing with my 26 year old coworker. I received so many calls and emails the next day saying how fantastic they were.
I think they even got some private bookings out of it. It was a magical night, people had a great time and I’m already looking forward to taking a crowd to see them perform again. I cannot thank them enough for making our event a huge success.

Extraordinary
Last Evening we attended the latest outdoor amphitheater concert here at SCLH. It was extraordinary. The band played a wide selection of mostly R&B style music based on the old STAX label. We were reminded of Tower of Power with the tight arrangements, extraordinary musicianship, and strong vocals. And like the best tribute bands, this group played familiar tunes but put their own distinctive stamp on each one. The sound system was excellent as well. And the large crowd was enthusiastic to say the least– what’s not to like?!

All You Need To Get A Party Started
We have had Stax City annually for wine club events at our small winery. Our members love their energy and I love their reliability. The are punctual, respectful of the property, and can play! The musicians are very talented with a huge book of favorite songs. Cliff is easy to work with and is eager to make our parties successful.
